Minutes of the hundred and forty first meeting of the Football Licensing Authority held on 8 May 2007 at Harcourt House, London

1. Minutes of the previous meeting

  • The minutes of the hundred and fortieth meeting were agreed and signed by the Chairman.

2. Matters arising

  • No items were raised.

3. Chief Executive’s reports

  • In discussion of the reports the following point was raised:
  • Mr Dickie suggested that confirmation be sought from the chairman of the working group on dynamic performance that a collapse of a stand was no longer a major area of concern within the group. It was agreed Mr Dickie would write to ascertain whether this was correct.

4. Draft annual review of performance 2007

  • Subject to a small number of agreed amendments the Board approved the draft review of performance and agreed that it should be submitted to DCMS.

5. Audit Committee membership

  • The Board noted the content of the paper and agreed that the composition of the Audit Committee should remain as at present.

6. Draft management statement and financial memorandum

(FLA(07)13)

  • The Board were content with both documents.  It was agreed that DCMS be advised to issue them as final versions.

7. Revision of the 4th edition of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds

(FLA(07)12) (FLA(07)14)

  • Members were thanked for the comments submitted. These would be taken forward for consideration by the editorial team.

8. Any other business

  • No items were raised.

9. Date of the next meeting

  • The meeting scheduled for June would not take place.  Therefore the next meeting would be Tuesday 3rd July at 10.30am in Harcourt House.
